So i showed up to work today today and it's non stop tow in's of westy's ( ok only 3 tow ins ) 2 may be tow out's :(. One is super nice but it's a EV .. ewwww... The 2 vanagon westys i am working on are only worth $2000 at max.. Lots of little issues and a few bigger ones... When someone brings an 85 2wd with moldy roof worn interior, 300,000 kms.. Ding's dents and rust patch's and bubbles here and there, worn bushings, tires tired 1.9 and the lower spring nub rusted off and holy exhaust .. I find it hard not to consider it a parts van pretty much.. Now in this case the people have owned it since new... 25 years!!! So by the time parts and labor add up i would guess $3000 to get them back on the road. ( still moldy and crusty) But i guess if they sold it as is it may be worth $500 to $1000 but add $8000 at least to buy one better?? This is why i find it hard to value these vans Thank you, Jay Lefstein. Sent from my mobile device. |
