As long as the 2wd trans is from a waterboxer van it will match up to the Syncro engine and Syncro shift linkage. You will have some work to do at the nose mount. Get the complete 2wd nose mount with the tranny. I'm wondering why Scott and Ken say you can bolt the 2wd bracket into the threaded holes in the body when some are partially blocked by welded on brackets for the Syncro protection bars and others are totally blocked. Some fabrication or modification will be required. Spacing down the nose mount by 1.5" or more will help clear the above welded on brackets and put the tranny close to the Syncro mounting angle.
