Thanks for the tips, everyone. I will definitely make it a point to avoid Gatlinburg. I think we may try staying on the Western side the first night, since we may not get there until dusk...maybe Abrams Creek or Look Out? And then the second night we'll venture farther east into the park and find somewhere, haven't decided where yet. Someone told me to go to Big Creek and checkout Midnight Hole. That sounded pretty cool too. I'll have to talk it over with the rest of the gang and see what they think as well.

Don, maybe I'll give you a call when I get a chance and you can offer some more words of wisdom. I'd also LOVE to make it to the VW show in Seveirville, but already have a local VW meetup here in Nashville that weekend. Next year!
