Great pictures! I worked at a front end shop for years and changed more ball joints with this set up than I could count (hundreds of them), we would even on occasion have someone bring us a knuckle as we had the "proper tools". We used a bench vice, a drift of the correct size (used king pins), a deep/shallow socket (to drive the new ball joint) and a 5# hammer. Worked great, worked great for years.
