  I agree about the Van Cafe, but want to add in the Vanagon list is
precious as well.

   I posted a clutch question at about 8am one morning to the List.  Got
answers in about half an hour.  Called the Van Cafe for a parts order and
was talked through it by a nice guy who actually knew some stuff.  By early
afternoon, I got a shipping notice and a tracking number, so my parts will
be here almost before I can get that pesky transmission out and ready for
the clutch job...

  Think about that.  In past times...I'd be looking in the Yellow Pages to
find a towing service and a Vanagon mechanic.  My van would have been "down"
for weeks and my wallet would have been.... even flatter.... by far.

  We be lucky to have all these assets relating to our Vanagons.... and
thanks to everyone for all the advice on my 'pilot-less clutch problems'..
