In my own personal experience there are four fabulous resources for keeping our Vans on the road.

At the top of the list is the Vanagon List itself. Where on earth could you possibly find such a collection of LIVE knowledge and experience for the Vanagon but here. Ask a question, and you get a response in pretty short order. While archives are good, Living Memory within a group is the greatest blessing of all. And not just for the technical aspect either. There is a social aspect as well, and that provides a special glue that holds this unusual organization together in a way like no other. Look at the recent response by the Vanagon List to the plight of the Grebneff Family.

Then there are the list vendors. And within my own experience, I have found all the folks at Van-Cafe, Ken Wilford at Vanagain.Com and Ron Salmon at Bus Depot, to be excellent suppliers of parts and sources for assistance when needed. All are willing to talk to you when you have a problem with your van, or an issue with an order.

This combination of these four elements that provides support for our Vanagons is hard to match anywhere, and I for one, am extremely appreciative of its existence

John.
