RE: Vent Fan From Behind the Refrigerator Instead of curring more holes/adding a vent several people have used the shore water connection for that since virtually no one uses the shore water connection. What is needed is straight forward. Remove the exterior plastic fitting, disconnect the connection going to the faucet and plug the line with a 3/8" flare plug. Cut the back off the outside housing. Epoxy a muffin fan to the back and wire it into a switch, mount switch where you want. Reinstall in the side of the van. When parked and running on propane prop the outside flap open and turn on the fan. BTDT and it did help with 'fridge cooling and vented the heat outside, could feel it at the exhaust. One caution, you are now more vulnerable to water and rain getting in through there. |
