I know vanagon and performance are two words that should not be used together but I'd really like to get a few horses more power so I can go up some of the passes out here in WA in second gear instead of redlined in 1st gear. I am trying to put the camper on a diet - removing the dead AC, keeping as little in it as possible . . . . But - does anybody know of a performance exhaust or ratio rockers to help give me a few more horses? The motor (1.9L) was rebuilt 30K ago. Van has 185,000 miles. I have no emissions to worry about. I took out the catalytic converter with the intention of bashing out the innerts but no passages were clogged and it was an oversize unit - didn't think eliminating core wold help in performance and would like the help decrease pollutants if possible . . . . . |
