Here's a new for me.  I have a '90 Westy Weekender for sale on the samba,
and received the following email yesterday:



> Is your weekender still available? If so can I come take a look sometime?

> Where in sacramento do you live. I will be visiting in Lodi in a

After sending an email back telling him to contact me when he would like to
take a look, I received this email:





Hello Jeff,



I'm sorry I didn't inform anyone about my short vacation with my family to
London, England. Unfortunately we were mugged at the park of the hotel we
lodged. Our cell phones,cash and credit cards were stolen off us, but
luckily we still have our passports with us.



We were able to make contact with the UK Police and directed to the US
Consulate, but they seems to be taking things too slow. We need a quick loan
to settle the hotel bills and our transport to the airport.

I promise to reimburse immediately we arrive back home safely. We already
suggested to postpone the bills but the hotel management insisted we should
contact our friends at home to send funds our way to settle the bills and
also have extra money to return home. We are anxiously waiting for your
reply.

Are people really stupid enough to fall for this crap?  Unbelievable!
