rear heater can leak from:

-hose connections to heater - there are "Ts" that split off from main heater lines that run from engine up to front of van. These Ts are under the van, at a location corresponding approx. just in front of right rear wheel, scrooch under van and have a look -leaky hose itself (rare) -bleeding screw on heater valve leaking (has an o ring in it) -leaking between valve body and core (again an O, or square section ring involved) -core itself leaking

At the risk of sounding like my usual self, one of the first things you need to do this weekend is buy a Bentley manual. Seriously, you will be needing it if you plan on keeping the van.

There does seem to be another leak in the rear heater lines somewhere and I have yet to find it. I can smell antifreeze/coolant when it gets warm and I keep having to add a little coolant every week or so. It's obviously a small leak, so that's fortunate in some ways, but it's dang annoying! Nothing under the rear seat is wet so it's not located there. It doesn't seem to be in the engine compartment and I don't see any drips or puddles under the van. Any thoughts on where else to look?
