Here in the San Francisco bay area it's not uncommon to see at least one a day and often two or three. And I live in the east bay, inland from the water. It's really fun driving over to the coast, Half Moon Bay, and heading either south or north I'll always cross paths with several smiling faces and peace signs waving out the windows. It always makes me feel connected to some sort of strange but good vibe.
