check out herman's site for info on bronze bushing r&r.

http://vanagonsyncroproject-herman.blogspot.com/

there are 2 bushings, one and bottom of hole, one at entrance. Herman pulled the bushings and then lathed new ones from bronze bushing stock, machined to fit the shaft and also to fit the yoke side which he had machined to remove the wear grooves. Its all there on his site, and don't overlook the link at start of blog to his photopage, more good pics there.

Hello most knowledgeable vanadudes.

I am working on my 87 syncro westy again ( it always asks for something )

anyways, I have the drive shaft out and all apart ( i marked it before disassembly )

I have one new U-joint and flex disk and I am waiting for another u- joint and a brass bushing that i ordered for a guy in texas ( think ) Reinhardt Motors.

So here is my situation. I would like to use new hardware. where can i get it?

also anybody have an idea of how to RE&RE the bushing in the shaft? of the shaft... and also where to get another bushing? I thought there was only 1 bushing

thanks in advance J
