I just snapped the exterior sliding door handle in two pieces ('87 Syncro). Can they be repaired/wielded? BD wants $80 but all I need is the handle, not all the innards. Local junk yards can't help. Any suggestions?

Less pressing, my left turn signal flashes at double the frequency as the normal right signal, yet no lights are burnt out. What's up with that?

Thanks much for your list, expertise and any input.
