RE: Music on the road Thanks for all the input. It looks like I should be wary of FM modulators (even though I had good luck with one in the past). After snooping through the manual on my head unit I find that there is an adapter I can buy that will allow me to use an iPod (or one of it's competitors) and that would give me what I'm looking for, easy management/selection of my music. One drawback is keeping such an MP3 player charged. Looking on eBay I see a number of FM type players that are powered from the vehicle while running and take either SD cards or USB Thumb Drives and provide some level of organization of files and at about 1/3 or less the price of an adapter, cables, and iPod type device. So I'll keep mulling it over and come up with something. Thanks again for all the comments and suggestions. |
