OK, couple of weekends ago I did my brakes, front and rear. When I replaced the front pads, I noticed the thin metal plates, "noise dampening plates" as they are called in the Bentley (finally got one) were missing. I'm guessing some highly qualified mechanic at a Pep Boys or some other high quality shop decided in the past that they weren't needed and tossed them. Well, my problem is that both before and after my brake job I have an extremely loud and shrill squeal coming from the front brakes. Happens 75% of the time braking when moving forward, and 100% when backing up. It's a head turning, attention getting squeal that is both annoying and embarrassing. I've searched on line vendors (Bus Depot, Van Again, Cip One, Go Westy) and none list the part. Years (maybe 4) ago I needed these for a '75 Westy and found them at the dealer, which I hate to go to but will if I have to. Does anyone know of a source for these? Thanks, Jeff
