FedEx's cheapest service, like UPS's, excludes include brokerage fees (which like UPS's can be exhorbitant). However their faster services include the brokerage fees. I have a very large contractual discount with Fedex on their faster services that include brokerage. With my discount, I can sometimes get a package to a Canadian customer in about 2 days for the same price or slightly more than USPS. Once or twice I've even seen it come out cheaper. In other cases USPS is cheaper, because FedEx tacks on a surcharge to some Canadian postal codes. When a Canadian customer places an order, we email them with both their mail and FedEx options and let them decide.
