Subject:      Heater or Rad Hose. What "Contact" Heat can it Handle?

Hi all.

I'm thinking of protecting these wires (pic):  *http://tinyurl.com/282asu9
*from stray spark plug wire high voltage. Wrapping them would mean taking
the harness off engine.

Gates website shows standard rad hose and heater hose can handle up to,
occasional, 125F. My gut tells me it would might melt or deform if actually
contacting the block but.....

Is there a risk of heater hose, or standard rad hose igniting if up against
or very near the engine block?

I'm leaning towards yes, but more knowledgeable people might know for sure.
