Radial aircraft engine carburetors used leather parts. The big Stromberg updraft carbs on the Pratt & Whitney radial aircraft engines and the updraft carbs on the Jacobs radial aircraft engine used molded leather piece as a piston/seal in the accelerator pump on the carbs. Don't remember about the opposed cylinder engines.
