Mary says: We saw the surgeon for a follow up appointment yesterday and the area where the tube comes out of his tummy has finally started to heal. The long incision where they inserted all the tubing healed in a few days but where it comes out has taken a longer time. Looks like we will be ready to start our training on November 8 as planned. He is counting down the sessions where he has to sit for 5 hours, only has 4 more sessions. After seeing the surgeon yesterday we went to the dialysis center that is going to be training us and they flushed the catheter and it works very well. We were told that he will be coming off some of the meds he is now taking and that his fluid intake will be unlimited. He will have to change doctors for a short time until the dialysis center closer to home is up and running, I am not too happy about that but since it is only until Spring I suppose I can handle it. I have just become so dependant on Dr Henry to guide us in the right direction and changing doctors in midstream to me is not a good thing.

Yrs, d
