Hi Everyone,


I thought I'd take a minute to say hi and ask a question.


This is my first foray into vanagons, I just bought a 1989 Vanagon GL
"Bluestar" which is in fantastic shape. No rust, no dings, paint is in
great shape as well as the interior.


The engine is a little rough around the edges, which is what brings me
to the question. I'm in Philly and wondering if anyone has a
recommendation for a mechanic close by?


I've done a bit of work on transporters so I'd like to continue that
tradition but I'm sure there are things that will be over my head and
where having a professional opinion, and set of eyes, will be very
useful.
