Thanks to all of you who posted memories. Cool beans! I saw/heard the B-17 fly once when running along side the American River in Sacramento. I was told that at that time it was the only one left flying. Hopefully more are now. Then there was the last B 36 in the inventory that fly into and out of Norton AFB on its way to the Arizona boneyard...
