Seems to me any group of ppl will get that way to some extent over time. I
don't really see why this one should be any different. Even some of the
saints were assholes, if you believe the stories.
I was on a BMW motorcycle list that seemed like open warfare, which is why
I'm not on it anymore.
The list is actually far more mellow than it has been. It certainly is much
more low key than it was around the time I joined. There were a number of
ppl on it then that seemed to only be here to look for opportunities to
belittle other ppl. Now most if not all of them are gone, and true to human
nature there are some new ones... and so it goes.
