A friend here locally has a syncro with a ben's place subie 2.5
install kit. He has a dongle attached to subie ECU that sends
wireless signal to iPhone. Lots of engine data and it ties in with
gps, accelerometer etc. He has a couple of apps that he uses, I'll
ask him about the dyno function

It seems plausible that you can get some accurate/meaningful data
from it, once you have the van weight and drag coefficent.

So here's a good question for the list:

What are some quick, reversible and mon-destructive tweaks I can make to
yield measurable differences in power output. IE:

Disconnect O2 sensor...
Disconnect one spark plug lead...

Any other ideas? Might be useful to document this stuff with "real"
numbers.
