I have parked, slept, and cooked my breakfast at cemeteries on more than one occasion, not just with my VW, but years ago when all I had was just the back of my Toyota pickup. Only once was I asked to leave, which I did, without objection. Interestingly enough, I'd already slept, and was just finishing breakfast. Small town parks are often fair game, too, or have been for me. For those who want it that way, some small towns in west Texas have town owned RV parks (really just parking lots with hookups) for no charge, even with power and water. They hope that folks who sleep there will buy something, and I guess it works out. I don't use the places, because I can usually find somewhere a little more pleasant than a parking lot across from the courthouse or similar location.
