Hi
Another View might be:
320k on the vehicle may (or may not) warrant dumping coin on a newer
running version for the cost of a full replacement. keep the ol bird
of parts or swap the newer vanagon parts to the ol bird, BUT you can
also buy into other peoples problems, Having the problems you have
now is a hard call to dump coin. Many times people have put the funds
into their ride and need to sell for reasons unknown.
You may find a good replacement to keep you in the vanagon community.
Check with Bus clubs early split, bay and vw in general they have the
eyes for the local vehicles all over the place.
Also a newer source for me has been craigslook which just changed its
name for legal reasons but you can still find it. It will search ALL
of craigslist and classifieds within a distance you select. Nice
little tool to waste your day away with.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Sorry for the ramble woke up with a major sinus headache and need to
go lay down again but wanted to toss this out there before I did.
C-ya on the road
