I've run my stove in very cold conditions. I've never even though of the propane lines freezing up. I don't think the gas is flowing through them rapidly enough if you're just using the stove, fridge, or propex to cause it to chill down on its own due to expansion. I think if you had a leak, then yes. But I believe the propane has to REALLY flow fast to do that much of a cooling effect. So, you'd only really be subjected to ambiant temperature of the air.

A propane torch would probably classify as that "moving alot of propane REALLY fast" situation that would cause it's own cooling.
