Crazy thing is now the sound appears to have stopped. I gave the engine a sound "thrashing" on I5 (took it up to higher than previous sppeds) and previous to that gave it a good romp on some hills. Put at least a few hundred miles on it since oil change. Didn't hear the sound again. But I will inspect regardless.
