I went into my local Discount Tire a few weeks ago and asked for the
price of Yokohama 356 tires. The guy quoted me $120 each. So I checked
around and finally decided to go with a set of the Hankook tires that
Bus Depot sells, which were $75 plus $20 shipping each. When I took
them into the Discount Tire for mounting and balancing, the guy told
me I could have gotten them from him for $70 and no shipping. Tax
would have been $6.30 per tire.


I like giving Bus Depot business, and I basically broke even on the
actual cost per tire. But I gave $80 to Fedex ground that I wish I
hadn't.
