I suggest with walmart batteries, making a copy of your reciept on the copy machine, putting it in an envelope, and keeping it near the battery. It turns out the ink on the receipts they use will not hold up for even one year, the whole thing starts to turn black. That way when warrantly time comes, you have no reciept.... even if you do.

I've seem them do this too me, so now I keep a copy. They tend to honor the copy.
