I actually went through the trouble of modifying the "cucaracha buzzer" on
my first van such that the speaker could be turned on or off with a
subminiature switch on the side. I switched the stupid thing off about Day
3, and never again turned it on. My second van, I just pulled the whole unit
off and threw it in the glove box, like everyone else does. Much less work.
