Seems to me, FWIW, that if you mount the light aft of the sunroof, you're going to lose the function of lighting the ground in front of you, which, at least for most of us, is among the most important areas to light.

Mounting the light on top is also going to give some clearance issues. I'd go with the Maglights and monkeys (they work for peanuts).
