how old the tire is may make a difference ...and this has been discussed in
tandem and with demum and copiose  ad nauseum
so ( i know latin grammar may be off )
my spare is OEM and we have a 1984 ... may be works may doesnt ... but
before next journey of any consequence it will be replaced ...
