Hi,


My '89 GL keeps dying when I start it if I'm not keeping the gas pedal
down enough to keep it above 2k rpms.


It happens more always when in gear/clutch pedal depressed but not so
much when in neutral with clutch pedal out.


If I spend about 5min "warming" it up then everything runs just fine.


If not then I can watch the rpms hover around 1500rpms and slowly drop
to 1000rpms at which point it time it drops sharply and the engine dies.


I'm thinking at the least I should replace the fuel, and fuel filter but
it almost sounds like it might be a vacuum issue.


Can someone with a bit more experience chime in?
