I hadn't seen the "deer whistles " for sale any where for years until a couple of weeks ago when I went down to N. Carolina on I-81-all the truck stops had them for sale. I always wondered if they work or not. But then I've been driving 37 and never hit one before today. Its a sickening sound, too. Jeff

I had a "deer miss" with my 84 Westy a few years back... and was thankful not to have any damage... within inches of my van!

I have heard mixed "signals" (pun intended) on the deer whistles, and if they are even worth it as cheap as they are.

Anyone have success with these? Easy to mount high on the rain gutter by the front roof rack on a Westy.

There seem to be more deer now than ever!!! Reducing the herd is the best strategy, and doing with a weapon... not your Vanagon.
