Well I DID drive around 3 winters ago (was that the big one we had up here in B.C. Alistair??) with the buddy heater on as I drove around dropping people off in the 77 Westy as it was equipped with chains and went anywhere. The side note being that everyone ( 5 of us) had to keep wiping down the windows INSIDE as the condensation from them and the heater I guess was pretty phenomenal. With the opening and closing of the slider though we were never really that warm. :-(
