It is in the very lower right corner of the fuse/relay panel in 86+. It should have a large 21 stamped on the exposed end, unless it has been replaced with a non-original part. It flashes both the turn and 4 ways. The possible issues with the dash flasher indicator can be subtle. Test and record results carefully. If the indicator still comes with the flasher out, AND IT SHOULD, try turning on the headlight switch and see if the indicator goes off, which it shouldn't.
