Wow, GEX. That is the worst place you could possibly get your engine from. I mean Bubba at Sunoco could do a better rebuild. Please cancel and order from one of the ones that we recommended. I install several rebuilt Vanagon engines a year and I know many of the other folks on the Vanagon list do as well. I have also dealt with the aftermath of a GEX engine purchase (before they came to me). You don't want to go there. AVP, Suburban Engine Exchange, Chris Corkins, NW Connecting Rod. There are choices and different levels of money/rebuild quality, but you really can't go wrong with any of these. A GEX rebuild is more like a bomb. It is not a question of if it will go off, just when.
