Dear new engine I just read an interesting story in the USA navel safety magazine about a new engine in a very expensive airplane. All of the mechics made a check of the plane and each one checked the oil is good box with a yes. They all took their information from a viewable glass tube that indicated there was sufficient oil present. One guy even went to the trouble of pulling the stick and only noted the colour was a little less browner than usual. This series of investigative reporting went in over succesive shifts with no further reporting of the new engine instalation. Then came turn over trials and attempted starts ... Each time the 'filter' was removed and found to be loaded with metal bits . Then they started it and the engine failed. The result was A 3/4 million $$ no good new engine brought about by shipping oil not being changed out prior to start up. Ahhhh rocket science ... How cool is that. No nomore complaints about vw mechanics. Who knows where they picked up thier habits. Regards

Sent from my iPhone... There must be a lifetime of thought in the last second if we are to live from moment to moment.
