if using the very logical floor jack method .. removing a waterboxer engine/trans as one unit works nicely.

If I only need the engine out .. I do just the engine by itself. and to do both together is plenty easy.

I didn't read the posts on the winch methods .. I can say however. that a floor jack is built to do exactly what is needed.. support the weight of the engine .. allow it to roll out, then down, then roll back a bit more, etc.

Sure works nicely. A decent 'full size' floor jack is a very, very useful tool .
