I called the dealer -- the owner (John) has a bunch of one a kind VW's --- he's a collector -- this vehicle has been properly stored since new along with a bunch of other VW's. The guy I talked to has been under it and driven it. It is a perfectly preserved vehicle. Boggles my mind. I imagine if you went to buy and drive it you'd be wanting to change all the hoses and fuel lines. A once in a lifetime opportunity for the Doka enthusiats. Guy I talked to also said the price is pretty firm at 35K --- dude doesn't really care if he sells it or not. Go figure...........

Cheers, Doug
