$40 for a motel? Weren't you driving in one? I spent five days waiting for parts in Revelstoke, BC this summer and just slept in my comfy home in front of the garage. Not the cheapest camping I've ever done (worked out to a few hundred dollars a night in the end) but I couldn't have picked a nicer spot for a breakdown. The shop owner even lent me a bicycle! (Yes I realize it's not always practical to just sleep in front of the shop. But I like the story anyway.) -Graham > >Date: Fri, 26 Nov 2010 14:30:36 -0700 >From: Robert Stevens <mtbiker62@GMAIL.COM> >Subject: Re: Reality Check on New & Better VW Campers >I was on a 3+ week trip in my van recently and had a breakdown in N AZ. = >Cost me $270.00 at the shop and $40.00 for the Motel 6. >Another $400.00 for a major part replacement. >I had been staying with my brother a few days in N AZ so I called him to = >let him know.
