the rock hard pedal can be at the clutch pedal end of the system...
just due to the weird geometry of things with the pedal and clutch master
cylinder .
I had one syncro ..it was towed in to finish a Subaru engine conversion.
and the clutch pedal would move about 1/4 inch and stop sharply ...
I can't explain it really ..
but bleeding the clutch properly fixed it, but it sure seemed mechanically
locked up at the pedal.
just saying, a rock hard clutch pedal may not necessarily be due to
something inside the clutch area.
however, of course..................... 'goes in gear, engine runs, but
won't move '...
does sound like a clutch issue and hopefully not trans itself.
