The temp sensor II doesn't have any default setting. The resistance simply varies with temperature. Cold it might read 6000 ohms, decreasing to a few hundred when warm. I had one fail to a low enough resistance value that I couldn't start the engine in cold weather. A 5000 ohm fixed resistor got things warmed up enough to get me home!
