Subject: Fuel Injectors Burnt

A question for the Gurus of this list. 1984 1.9 Westfalia I just removed my fuel injectors to find that two # 2 & 3 had the plastic at the firing end of the injectors burnt. One was even down to the metal with the pin exposed. No noticeable difference in the performance of this van. Any ideas of the cause? I will get replacements but wish to get some input so it should not happen again!!

Rey
