My #3 injector tip was burnt which I believe was caused by my #3 Exhaust Valve being burnt out as well about 7 years ago. Replaced it when when I had the head done. The other 3 are fine after 12 years from being installed new from Bosch.

I check 'em every 2 or 3 years. All are still good. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" 75 914 1.8 "Nancy" Full Timing Since March 1999 oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Mon, Nov 22, 2010 at 11:08 AM, Rey Wood <boscobelle@live.com> wrote: > A question for the Gurus of this list.  1984 1.9 Westfalia > I just removed my fuel injectors to find that two # 2 & 3 had the plastic at > the firing end of the injectors burnt.
