Doug, I had a hose go up on the Navajo Reservation. Turned out to be the big hose off the bottom of the radiator, about where you are describing. I was able to cut an inch or so off the hose end and stretch it a bit to reconnect to the radiator. Got me home with no problems, other than having to drive up an embankment to bleed the cooling system. Secondly, I've used these folks, who are pretty close to you. Tell Dan your tale of woe and he may be able to fit you in. I believe he's fairly close to you.
