Look at the traditional sources for such things. Just because people do not respond immediately, does not represent true availability. Places like Bus Depot used to carry some of the front sections as repair panels. In the Vanagon production years, you could order them from the VW dealer. Now that your van has been out of production for at least 19 years in the US, things are a bit more challenging.

With 3 minutes of searching, I found one for sale. This is the second one I've found. Both are in Europe. If you must have a new panel, it will not be cheap to ship because of the sheer size.
