I hear ya. ;) Worst offender, aside from my laziness, is that the pipe likely "wore" the O ring (grommet) into a position, then was upset by me repositioning pipe. If I can find before/after shots I'll post them. Worthwhile for others to know that this pipe can be installed two ways. At least on my '81 that seemed to be the case.
