dear UEL/LEL
the difference between explosion and a fire are the difference between
having quintuplets and having a baby
me not a scientist
i have though had experiences with both gasoline and oil that have
left minor scar tissue ...
and i might point out that napalm is not made with gasoline and soap ...
when gasoline squirts on a hot surface with in the EL of the fuel it
may well ignite or boil off as the case may be
but unless the stream of vapor is provided it will not create a fire
as it has already gone off
oil on the other hand ... lingers and spreads indeed as the fire
continues to consume the fuel the fuel actually spreads as it becomes
less viscous
to put this into vanagon engine terms the gasoline is atomized and
sprayed into a tightly sealed chamber where it does not burn but is
set off with an electrically generated spark off high intensity ...
oil while it still has it's viscosity ... lubricates the chamber wall
while this process continues ...at some point the engine starts to
provide a puddle of oil in the chamber and your engine begins to smoke
from the burning oil ...
common sense does not exist ... anywhere on the planet ...
common sense is what i lack but you have because i have not had your
experiences and only those with the same genera of experiences as you
will have common sense
and because we are each individuals ... with our own myopic point of
view ... and mine being more myopic than yours ...
i will not even experience the same event that you did even if we were
there together at the same time ... so my sense of it will be
different than yours ...
yours faithfully with the scars to prove it ...
