As this tread is already hijacked beyond all recognition and Friday to boot....


I too, hate rubber bands that think they're a real head-gasket.
Installing a Subi engine is certainly a wonderful repair but kinda over the top dollar-wise?
I took the economy route and used Subi-coolant-conditioner... two years later, still no leaks from
those funky rubber-band gaskets... Subi-anything appears to work in a Vanagon....


Now, how to get the added Hp of a Subi engine, out of a bottle?  Anyone?
